Nathalia is a pretty town with a population of 1500 situated in north central Victoria. It is a friendly town where visitors are made welcome. Nathalia's main natural attraction is the permanent waters of the Broken Creek that meanders through the town.

Being just two and a half hours north of Melbourne and 20 minutes from the Murray River, this is an ideal place for a short break or a longer stay to visit some of the local attractions. Nathalia has a good shopping center and excellent sporting, education and medical facilities.

It's no wonder that 'tree changers" are moving north to this wonderful climate to seek out a new home in the freedom and relaxed atmosphere or rural Victoria.

Nathalia is part of Moira Shire whose website is http://www.moira.vic.gov.au/ and is promoted as Sun Country on the Murray .

We will try to list items for quick reference under "Facts & Figures", such things as opening hours for the tip, etc. If you have any suggestions as to what can be included, please let us know.

This website is a "work in progress", and as such, still has a long way to go. It is being provided by Nathalia Economic Development Committee for the community of Nathalia as a resource for both the local community and to allow others to see what our town has to offer. It is being designed and maintained by UBC Web Design, along with some amateur volunteer assitants - so while parts of it are very professional, other parts show the influence of volunteeers learning how to make additions and alterations.

The NEDC is a "not for profit" voluntary organisation working to see that Nathalia grows economically, culturally and socially.

It is intended to be as inclusive as possible, so if you feel some group, organisation, club or business has been left out please let us know. It could be that we have overlooked someone, or it might be that we have not got around to including them yet. There also could be some mistakes in what is included.
