Regular Events are part of life in Nathalia. These include...   Easter Tennis Tournament  This competition attracts players from all over Victoria who relish the opportunity to play on real grass courts. Social events round out the whole experience. Easter Bash Market The plantation in Blake Street is packed with stalls and entertainment on Easter Saturday   Fishing in the Broken Creek This provides a chance for one and all to hook the big one out of the Broken Creek Nathalia Agricultural Show  (First Sat. in October) A country show not to be missed. A full range of livestock and poultry vie for the ribbons, Show jumping and Equestrian events, ute and motorbike competitions fill the arena. Local produce together with arts and crafts are on display. Sideshows add that little bit extra. NAS details  Art Show… “Art in the Windows’’ Christmas and New Year) Over the Christmas new year Nathalia’s  prolific artistic community display art works in the shop windows of the main street. The public has the chance to vote for their choice. New Years Eve Carnival This annual carnival  is one of the best and always attracts a big crowd. The night finishes with an elaborate fireworks display.  Street Market        (First Saturday each month) Fresh produce, crafts, plants and all sorts of treasures can be found at this market.   Barmah Muster (Held in late April each year) Traditionally associated with bringing cattle out of the forest in the annual muster, the “Muster” has grown into a major social event over a weekend. A yarn spinning competition, dancing , concert and novelty events make for a great weekend. Camping at the forest site is encouraged. Poultry Auctions (Five times a year 3rd Saturday of March, May, July, Sept and Nov) Organised by the Nathalia Lions Club these auctions attract poultry fanciers from near and far. They are also interesting from a spectator point of view. Waaia Tractor Pull  (April)  This event is a must for those who love machines. It is a family event with a difference. The Urban Design Forum,  opened by the Governor, brought designers from across Australia to Nathalia.
